Seeing a Princess at Disneyland is one of the most exciting things for young kids to experience. It was something I loved when would visit Walt Disney World as a little kid and now its one of my toddlers favorite things to do every time we go!
Disneyland Paris does not disappoint when it comes to meeting a Princess at the Princess Pavilion in Fantasyland. Here is everything you need to know to meet a princess and make the most of your time while at the park!

What happens at the Princess Pavilion at Disneyland Paris?
The Princess Pavilion is an indoor meet and greet with one of the Disney Princesses! Unlike other character meet and greets, you can’t see the princess while standing in line. They are in a private room which keeps the princess a surprise until it is your turn.

Which Princess will I meet?
The princess that is there at the time is always a surprise and you never know until you reach the private room where you meet the princess! Listed on the Disneyland Paris site, are Cinderella, Ariel, Aurora, and Belle. When we went we met Belle!
Where is the Princess Pavilion in Disneyland Paris?
The Princess Pavilion is located in Fantasyland. This is actually perfect because we all know how hard waiting in line is for toddlers. If you have two adults with you, I recommend one adult wait in line while the other adult takes the kiddos on the other rides in Fantasyland. Super close by is Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, Dumbo, and Le Carrousel de Lancelot.
Pack lighter by renting baby gear at your destination using:
BabyQuip
No more lugging car seats and strollers through a crowded airport! BabyQuip can be found worldwide.
The Best Time to Get in Line
The best time to get in line for the Princess Pavilion is as soon as the Disneyland Park Opens. This meet and greet is a hot commodity and maybe one of the longest lines in the park! The line will start to form outside the doors soon after park open and before the Princess Pavilion opens.
The line typically extends outside the Princess Pavilion building throughout the day. Once inside the building, you will be waiting in line for an hour or more.
What Time Does it Open?
The Princess Pavilion opens after park open, usually at 10am. So yes, If park opens at 9, get in line at 9! Or at least hang around Fantasyland so you can keep an eye on the growing line and hop in before it starts to wrap around the nearby snack shop.

The Longest Line Ever
After the Princess Pavilion opens the line almost never drops below 80 minutes and is typically 90-120 minutes throughout the day! This is why I recommend getting in line ASAP.
Some people may use the “Park close trick”, which is getting in line for an attraction, that averages a long wait time, at the end of the day. The thought process behind this is hoping that the line is shorter because many people are leaving the park. I do not recommend this trick on the Princess Pavilion. It closes earlier than the park and when I was there I did not notice a drop in wait time even towards the end of the day.

Is the Princess Pavilion worth the wait?
Absolutely! That is, if you love princesses or have kids who love princesses. Meeting the surprise princess in a private room, without the ability to see the people behind you waiting, is a unique and exclusive experience.

Belle gave my toddler such focused attention my toddler still talks about meeting Belle in her yellow dress.
This focused attention is what makes the wait so long. There is a separate accessibility line which I think also adds to the wait time.
Can I get get a Fast Pass/Premier Access Pass?
There is no Premier Access lane for this meet and greet. Check here for more information on Premier Access at Disneyland Paris.
Conclusion: The Princess Pavilion at Disneyland Paris
The Princess Pavilion at Disneyland Paris was one of the best princess meet and greets I’ve experienced. I also feel Disneyland Paris in general has a more laid-back feel than Walt Disney World which makes every experience there more calming and easygoing.
