Best Disneyland Paris Rides for Toddlers and Other Fun Experiences in 2025

Disneyland Paris is for everyone, just as Walt intended! There is so much to see and do for people of all ages and for families to have fun together. We traveled to Disneyland Paris a couple times with our two year old and she loved it! I am a Disney Travel Agent and frequently visit Disney theme parks. Having recently stayed at Disneyland Paris resort and experienced both parks, I compiled a list of the best Disneyland Paris rides and experiences for toddlers so your whole family can have fun together!

Disneyland Paris consists of two parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. Planning ahead, just by knowing what rides and experiences you can take your toddler on, maximizes your park time and vacation experience. If you have older kids that want to ride bigger rides, or you and your partner want to switch off riding bigger rides, learning how to use Rider Swap before you go is helpful. I’ll cover how to use Rider Swap and Premier Access in here too.

Disneyland Paris Rides for Toddlers

Going on rides is one of the best things about going to a Disney park. To help you plan ahead, here is a list of all the best Disneyland Paris rides for toddlers!

Disneyland

“It’s a Small World” – A trip to Disney is not complete without drifting around the world in a boat on this classic ride.

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast – This competitive ride is fun for the whole family and my toddler’s favorite. Even if your toddler is too small to hold the laser gun, they can help by using the joy stick to spin your vessel.

Pirates of the Caribbean – Another classic ride that takes you on a boat down into the world of pirates. There is a small drop in beginning, then the rest is smooth sailing.

Autopia, presented by Avis – Let your little one drive a car while you relax as the passenger!

Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains – This ride takes you through the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. There may be some dark and scary scenes with the old witch at the end.

Casey Jr. – le Petit Train du Cirque – A cute little roller coaster to let your toddler get a taste of fast rides and see if they might like roller coasters when they’re older.

Disneyland Railroad – Use this railway to travel around the park and get from one land to the next!

Dumbo the Flying Elephant – Fly around on the ride most people think of when they think of a Disney park!

Le Carrousel de Lancelot – What theme park would be complete without a carrousel? Ride on your favorite horse then snap a picture of your toddler trying to pull the sword from the stone.

Le Pays des Contes de Fées, presented by Vittel – Take a relaxing boat ride to see some cute little villages from classic Disney movies.

Le Voyages de Pinocchio – Relive the Pinocchio movie on this storybook ride.

Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups – Take a spin on yet another Disney parks classic. Spin fast or slow, you and your little one can control the speed!

Orbitron – Soar through the air on a rocket on this Dumbo-like ride.

Peter Pan’s Flight – You can fly, you can fly, you can fly! Soar over London and Neverland on a flying ship! This one is a toddler favorite and one of the most popular rides at all Disney Parks.

Phantom Manor – Disneyland Paris’ version of Haunted Mansion. Ride around in your Doom Buggie to see fun ghosts. This one may be a little scary for young children.

Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing – Take a relaxing river boat cruise around the Old West!

Walt Disney Studios

Cars Quatre Rous Rallye – A spinning Cars themed ride perfectly placed across from Crush’s Coaster. One parent can ride on Crush’s Coaster while the other takes your toddler on Cars Quatre Rous Rallye, then switch using rider swap!

Cars ROAD TRIP – Cruz and Sally take you on a relaxing road trip down Route 66.

Les Tapis Volants – Flying Carpets Over Agrabah – Similar to Dumbo, fly high on a magic carpet.

Ratatoullie : L’Aventure Totalment Toquee de Remy – Experience the latest in ride technology on this exciting new attraction following Remy around his restaurant.

Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin – Ride up, down, and all around on Slink Dog from Toy Story! My toddler still talks about this ride, she loved it so much.

Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure – Another competitive game ride using your hands to throw webs around Avengers Headquarters. This ride has no height limit but here are a few things to consider. The ride uses technology that tracks your movements and can only track one person per seat. Little ones are welcome to sit on your lap but it throws off the web shooting a little bit. If your toddler is old enough and wants to sit in a seat by themselves they can, but they may be a little short to see everything. Use your discretion as you know your toddler best. My two year old sat on my lap and tried to follow along but there was too much going on for her to fully understand leaving her a bit frustrated and not wanting to go on the ride again.

Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop – This ride does have a height restriction but I wanted to include it anyway because the requirement is very short. This drop ride is still meant for a younger crowd. It starts with a slow rise up then a gentle drop down. Our tot was tall enough and really wanted to go on this ride but learned at the top of the ride that she did not like heights or drops!

Rider Swap

Rider Swap is a great way to experience rides when someone needs to stay back with a toddler who can’t ride. It essentially works where one adult (plus kids who are tall enough to ride) will go on the ride in the standby lane while the adult with the toddler can do whatever they want around the park. When the adult on the ride is done, they will be handed a ticket or a password to pass on to the adult off the ride so that that adult has a pass to get on the ride using a faster queue, not in the standby line.

In some cases, that second adult may be able to bring one additional person to ride with them, so your older kid may get a chance to ride twice!

Each attraction may have slight differences in how they do Rider Swap so always talk to a cast member at the entrance of each ride you want to do Rider Swap on.

Premier Access

Similar to Lightning Lane and Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris has Premier Access for purchase before or during your stay. You can easily purchase one of two options on the Disneyland Paris app on your mobile device.

Premier Access Ultimate allows you to join the Premier Access queue one time on each available attraction at any time throughout the day.

Premier Access One is a one time use on one attraction and you are given a time slot to join the Premier Access Queue.

Personally, we did not feel the need to purchase either of these. The lines are much shorter than what we are used to at Walt Disney World. There is also a feature in the Disneyland Paris app that allows you to set favorite attractions and the app will alert you when those wait times are low.

During both or visits and multiple days at the parks, we never waited longer than 35 minutes for a ride!

Character Meet and Greets

Disneyland Paris has many character meet and greets throughout both parks. Some of the more popular characters are in indoor spaces and the lines can get very long. Other Characters you will find outside in designated spaces but the characters may switch out throughout the day. I suggest checking the app throughout your stay to see what characters are available that day and at what times. Here are a few highlights and popular characters to meet.

Shows, Parades, Playgrounds, and More

There are many more experiences filled with magic and fun besides rides and meeting your favorite characters. There are amazing live shows performed by talented artists, exciting parades to watch, and fun areas that you walk through to experience your favorite Disney movies.

Check your Disneyland Paris app for showtimes. Some shows and parades allow you to reserve special seating by paying on the app but there is always a free seating option. If your toddler is done waiting in lines, there are playgrounds for them to run around and burn off energy.
